Alamosa School District Re-11-J is seeking an elevated Head Track and Field Coach to lead the athletic program and guide a staff of coaches. You will instruct athletes in fundamentals, strategy, and physical training to foster individual and team success.

The role emphasizes role modeling, adherence to policies, and collaboration with the athletic director and principals to ensure program integrity and community trust.

Qualifications

• Organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and willingness to explore new theories.
• Must serve as a positive role model for student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Establish the fundamental coaching philosophy and skills to be taught by staff.
• Train and develop staff; encourage professional growth through clinics and meetings.
• Maintain discipline, resolve grievances, and support staff during and after seasons.
• Assist athletic director with scheduling, transportation, eligibility, and budget considerations.
