Job summary

MVP Sports Clubs in West Michigan is seeking a Head Tennis Professional to lead group and private lessons for all ages and assist with program growth and administration. You will maintain high teaching standards on and off the court as part of the Tennis Department, reporting to the Racquet Sports Manager.

Ideal candidates bring USTA involvement, USPTA/USPTR certification, CPR/First Aid, and at least three years of teaching experience, with college-level playing at NCAA levels preferred.

Qualifications

• USTA member required.
• USPTA/USPTR certification as Professional or higher; if not, attain within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of three to four years of college education.
• Active involvement with USTA and local tennis organizations.
• First Aid/CPR training.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
• College playing experience preferred at NCAA Division I, II or III.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and private tennis instruction for all ages 3 and up.
• Assist Racquet Sports Manager in program growth and admin duties.
• Maintain high teaching standards on and off court.
• Maintain accurate records of students and classes; manage attendance and sign-ups.
• Work a minimum of 30 hours per week; include weekends/holidays as needed.
• Cultivate member business through clinics, events, and engagement.
