Role Description

The Head Sushi Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Washington DC, Capital One Arena, responsible for leading sushi kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality food production. This role oversees menu execution, daily food preparation, and sushi bar service, including responsible handling of seafood, rice, and specialty ingredients. The Head Sushi Chef trains and supervises kitchen staff, manages station setup and breakdown, and enforces strict hygiene, safety, and food handling standards. Day-to-day tasks include planning and organizing service, monitoring inventory and ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with management on menu updates and special event offerings. The role also focuses on maintaining consistent presentation, taste, and timing while delivering a premium guest experience in a high-volume environment.
