Job summary

VOALA seeks a Head Start Teacher Supervisor to oversee a single site, ensuring engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development for children aged 0–5. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and family advocates to support enrolled families and program goals.

The position requires a BA in Early Childhood Education/Child Development, a Site Supervisor permit (or in progress), and 24 ECE/CD units, with at least two years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• BA in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or closely related field.
• Site Supervisor Child Development Permit (or in progress).
• 24 CD units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of the program curriculum and plans for individuals and groups.
• Review end-of-month teacher paperwork for accuracy and timely submission.
• Oversee the curriculum plan to meet needs of children, families and staff.
• Integrate Head Start services into daily activities (parent involvement, health, nutrition, etc.).
• Oversee health and safety of the environment in line with licensing requirements.
• Mentor teaching and support staff on site.
