Job summary

The Hampton Roads Community Action Program in Virginia is hiring a Head Start Teacher to provide a safe, supervised educational setting for children in classroom, outdoor play, and field trips.

You will promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development following the Creative Curriculum and Head Start standards, encourage parental involvement, and develop individual goals with ongoing assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field required.
• Experience with Creative Curriculum and Head Start standards preferred.
• Ability to conduct home visits and parent conferences.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and supervised educational setting for Head Start children.
