Job summary

Child Care Associates is seeking a Head Start Teacher to plan and deliver developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support children’s growth across domains. You will maintain a safe, engaging classroom and partner with families to support school readiness.

You will implement Head Start curriculum areas, assess progress, and guide staff and volunteers while complying with Performance Standards and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 18 ECE credits.
• Proven classroom experience with preschool to EC–4.
• Strong written and verbal communication with families and staff.
• Solid understanding of child development and language abilities.
• Proficient with computers and digital tools for instruction and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Create a safe, engaging classroom environment.
• Integrate Head Start curriculum areas including health and nutrition.
• Observe and document children’s development with ongoing assessments.
• Build partnerships with families through regular communication.
• Guide classroom staff and volunteers.
• Ensure compliance with Head Start Standards and Licensing.
• Maintain IDPs and classroom resource materials.
