Job summary

Worcester Community Action Council, Inc. invites applications for a Teacher Assistant supporting Head Start centers in Southern Worcester County. You will assist Lead Teachers to implement developmentally appropriate activities and support children's growth, self-esteem, and social skills.

The role may require travel between centers; evening hours may be needed to align with family programs. A Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field is required, with ongoing education

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in early childhood education, social work, human services, or related field required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn WCAC databases.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Positive, friendly, and resourceful demeanor.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Supports diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Spanish or other language skills a plus.
• Department of Early Education and Care License required.
