Job summary

Porter-Leath is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers and nutrition staff, ensuring high-quality education and meals for students. You will relieve teachers during absences and remain flexible to help all members of the Porter-Leath Community.

Required: HSD/GED with CDA Infant Toddler Endorsement and experience with young children; CPR/First Aid preferred, nonprofit experience helpful. Must help with home visits and family support services.

Qualifications

• HSD or GED with CDA Infant Toddler Endorsement is required.
• Experience with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience working in a non-profit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers to improve the quality of education.
• Relieve teachers during absences and breaks.
• Assist nutrition staff with preparing meals for students.
• Maintain a flexible, organized team approach in Porter-Leath Community.
• Participate in home visits and parent/teacher conferences.

Education

HSD or GED with CDA Infant Toddler Endorsement

Relevant work experience with infants/toddlers/preschoolers

CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)

Non-profit experience (preferred)
