Job summary

Wisconsin Head Start Association is seeking a dedicated assistant to support the Classroom Manager at the Family Development Center in Stevens Point, WI. The role focuses on preparing and delivering developmentally appropriate lessons for children aged 0-5.

Qualifications include a two-year Associate Degree in Child Care and Development or a CDA/Registry Level 6+, plus experience with young children and transcripts or registry proof. This is a full-time, year-round position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate Degree in Child Care and Development and one year of classroom experience with ages 0-5.
• CDA or Registry Level 6+ with two years of experience with ages 0-5.
• Must provide transcripts or WI Registry certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist Classroom Manager in preparing and conducting lesson plans that follow developmentally appropriate practices.
• Support implementation of the curriculum as outlined by the program’s philosophy.

Start Date:As soon as possible

Starting Pay: $17.10 – $18.81 per hour, depending on experience

Status: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, part year

Duties: Responsible forassistingtheClassroom Managerin preparing and conducting lesson plans which provide a developmentally ageand stageappropriate curriculum,utilizingdevelopmentallyappropriate practicesas outlined in theProgram'sphilosophy and Creative Curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two - year Associate Degree in Child Care and Development through a technical college and one year of classroom experience which includes working directly with children ages 0-5.
• Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or a Registry Level of 6 or greater and two years of experience which includes working directly with children ages 0-5.

Must provide a copy of unofficial transcripts or certificate from the WI Registry or class.

Must be able to work effectively with multi-cultural children and families.
