Job summary

CAP Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated early childhood assistant to support the Classroom Manager in planning and delivering a developmentally appropriate curriculum at the Family Development Center in Stevens Point, WI.

The role requires a two-year associate degree in child care and development (or CDA/registry level) and relevant classroom experience with children aged 0–5. Starting pay ranges from $17.10 to $18.81 per hour, with full-time hours and a part-year schedule.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate Degree in Child Care and Development through a technical college and one year of classroom experience which includes working directly with children ages 0-5.
• Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or a Registry Level of 6 or greater and two years of experience which includes working directly with children ages 0-5.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting the Classroom Manager in preparing and conducting lesson plans which provide a developmentally age and stage appropriate curriculum, utilizing developmentally appropriate practices as outlined in the Program's philosophy and Creative Curriculum.

Status: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, part year

Minimum Qualifications

Must provide a copy of unofficial transcripts or certificate from the WI Registry or class.

Must be able to work effectively with multi-cultural children and families.
