Job summary

Wisconsin Head Start Association in New London, WI is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Assistant to assist the Classroom Manager in planning and delivering developmentally appropriate curricula. The role requires a two-year Associate Degree in Child Care and Development or CDA/Registry Level 6+, with experience with ages 0–5.

Starting pay ranges from $17.10 to $18.81 per hour, dependent on experience. Benefits include PTO, holidays, 401K, life insurance access, dental, vision, and disability

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate Degree in Child Care and Development and one year of classroom experience with children ages 0–5.
• CDA or Registry Level 6+ with two years’ experience with children ages 0–5.
• Must provide unofficial transcripts or WI Registry certificate.
• Ability to work effectively with multi-cultural children and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist Classroom Manager in preparing and conducting lesson plans and implementing developmentally age- and stage-appropriate curriculum as outlined by the Program’s philosophy and Creative Curriculum.

Duties: Responsible forassistingtheClassroom Managerin preparing and conducting lesson plans which provide a developmentally ageand stageappropriate curriculum,utilizingdevelopmentallyappropriate practicesas outlined in theProgram'sphilosophy and Creative Curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two - year Associate Degree in Child Care and Development through a technical college and one year of classroom experience which includes working directly with children ages 0-5.
• Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or a Registry Level of 6 or greater and two years of experience which includes working directly with children ages 0-5.

• Must provide a copy of unofficial transcripts or certificate from the WI Registry or class.
• Must be able to work effectively with multi-cultural children and families.
