Job summary

Catholic Charities Community Services is seeking a Head Start Teacher to support classroom learning and school readiness for young children. Under supervision, you will implement curriculum, plan engaging activities, and foster an inclusive, safe environment across sites.

Assignment covers the school year with breaks per the program calendar. You will collaborate with licensing supervisors, support family engagement, and document progress according to CACFP and Head Start standards.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of several educational requirements in Head Start.
• One year of preschool experience with AA and six months with BA/BS.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements a bilingual, multicultural curriculum for children to advance development and readiness.
• Develops children's literacy, language, math, science, and social-emotional skills.
• Maintains a safe, inclusive learning environment and conducts regular assessments.
• Maintains communications with families and coordinates parent involvement activities.
• Supports staff with curriculum planning and documentation requirements.
