Job summary

Innovative Network of Knowledge in Texas is seeking a part-time Head Start classroom assistant to support daily activities and learning experiences. You will help create a caring environment, assist with instructional tasks, and ensure safety across classrooms and outdoor areas.

Responsibilities include supporting language development, coordinating with teachers, supervising students, and participating in trainings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preschool classroom experience preferred (2 years).
• Pass health examination and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in education and daily program of a Head Start or Early Head Start classroom.
• Assist with implementation and coordination of all Head Start functions.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in classroom, playgound, restrooms.
• Attend workshops and trainings; maintain mandated training hours.
• Assist with home-style meal service and with student assessments and screenings.
• Support English-speaking and limited-English families.
