Job summary

Catholic Charities Community Services is seeking a passionate Head Start Teacher to provide developmentally appropriate instruction across multiple Avondale sites, supporting staff, children, and families. You will implement a bilingual, multicultural curriculum, promote literacy and math readiness, and create a safe, inclusive classroom that welcomes children with diverse home languages.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development theory and Head Start requirements.
• Ability to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Experience with diverse, multilingual families preferred.
• Meet AZ health/safety and background check requirements.
• Ability to document progress and maintain records per CACFP.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement bilingual, multicultural curriculum for classroom.
• Develop children in literacy, math, language, and social-emotional skills.
• Create inclusive, safe learning environments for diverse learners.
• Partner with families through conferences and home visits.
• Maintain compliance with Head Start standards and CACFP reporting.
