Job summary

SHORE UP! Inc. in Cambridge, MD is seeking a Site Coordinator to oversee daily operations of the Head Start program, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with Head Start standards, Maryland health regulations, and OSHA guidelines.

The role partners with the Operations Director to maintain high quality education standards and services for children and families, coordinating health, safety, family services, and program planning to support community needs.

• Knowledge of Head Start Performance standards.
• Excellent written & oral skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations Director to oversee day-to-day program operations and provide leadership across activities.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and foster a positive center environment.
• Ensure the program meets physical, intellectual, and social-emotional needs of each child.
• Monitor staff schedules, conduct site walk-throughs, and address concerns promptly.
• Review and submit Health & Safety, ERSEA, Family Service and IT reports in a timely manner.
• Provide oversight for staff meetings, volunteers, and interns; support enrollment and community partnerships.
• Assist in interview processes and staff development; ensure compliance with Head Start/Early Head Start policies.
