Job summary

Mount Hood Community College is seeking a lead site supervisor to augment the operational and educational capacity across Head Start and Early Head Start sites. You will coordinate staff coverage, monitor safety protocols, and ensure a high-quality learning environment while aligning with program standards.

The role acts as a primary liaison between teachers and management when the site manager is off-site, resolving issues and escalating complex concerns as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Step 9+ Oregon Registry.
• Minimum 3 years in early childhood with at least 2 years as lead teacher.
• Experience in Head Start/Early Head Start programs.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily staff scheduling to maintain child-to-adult ratios.
• Monitor site procedures and safety to ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Act as a lead and liaison between teachers and off-site manager.
• Escalate compliance gaps and policy deviations as needed.
• Provide peer support and guidance to classroom staff.
• Engage parents and support family involvement with staff.
• Assist in monitoring equipment and resources within budgets.
• Contribute to strategic site initiatives and planning.
