YMCA of the East Bay in Richmond is hiring a Preschool Teacher to create warm, inclusive classrooms aligned with Head Start standards. You will plan activities, observe and assess children, and partner with families to support each child’s development.

The role requires a current Child Development permit, relevant ECE coursework, and experience in early childhood programs, with on-site work at the Richmond location.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Head Start AA or above preferred.
• Current Child Development permit at the Associate Teacher level or above.
• 12+ semester units in ECE; infant/toddler units with grade C+ for Early Head Start.
• Ability to communicate in English; bilingual preferred.
• 2+ years as an Early Childhood classroom teacher; Head Start experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement curriculum goals per Creative Curriculum and Head Start standards.
• Plan and facilitate learning activities for individuals and groups with guidance.
• Supervise and monitor children at all times and ensure safety.
• Document child progress using observations, work samples, and assessments.
• Conduct parent/teacher conferences and engage families for supportive partnerships.
• Maintain health, safety, and licensing requirements and conduct daily health checks.
