Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Valid Connecticut State Board of Education teaching certificate/endorsement(s) appropriate to the teaching assignment.
• Background check and reference verification may be required.
• Possession of or eligibility for a Motor Vehicle operator's license may be required.
• Completion of all State CEU requirements for recertification.

Responsibilities

• Assists administration in implementing policies governing student life and conduct.
• Attends staff meetings and serves on committees as required.
• Communicates with students, parents, staff and the community.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to active student involvement and learning objectives.
• Develops, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials for diverse learners.
• Maintains accurate records and follows required procedures and practices.
• Monitors student outcomes and uses PBIS/SRBI frameworks to support learning.
