Job summary

Mybrightpoint seeks a Head Start Maintenance Custodian to keep internal and external head start facilities clean and well-maintained across Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Noble, and Whitley counties. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with a starting wage of $21.62 per hour.

The successful candidate will perform custodial duties, minor maintenance and repairs, and ensure safe, sanitary environments for Head Start programs. CPR/First Aid readiness is required within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Two years of custodial or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be organized.
• Must obtain First Aid and CPR qualification within 12 months.
• Valid Indiana driver's license and auto insurance minimums required when driving for Brightpoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal and external areas by cleaning and upkeep.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs at Head Start facilities.
• Maintenance tasks include: floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, vent and light fixture cleaning, window cleaning.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for keeping internal and external areas of the building thoroughly cleaned and maintained.

JOB DUTIES

Responsible for minor maintenance and repairs at all Head Start facilities.

Maintenance includes, but is not limited to:

• Small equipment and toy repair
• Floor stripping and waxing
• Carpet cleaning
• Vent and light fixture cleaning
• Window cleaning and maintenance

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two years of experience working in custodial work and/or building maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-motivated, attentive to detail, organized, cooperative, productive, reliable, flexible and dependable.
• Must become First Aid and CPR qualified within twelve (12) months of employment.
• When driving for Brightpoint, the employee must have a valid Indiana driver's license and must maintain minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 on auto insurance.
