Job summary

Brightpoint in Indiana is seeking a Head Start Maintenance Custodian to keep internal and external areas thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained across multiple Head Start facilities. This full-time role (40 hours weekly) offers starting pay of $21.62 per hour and requires minimal supervision, attention to detail, and the ability to perform minor repairs.

You will handle tasks such as floor stripping, waxing, carpet care, window and vent cleaning, and equipment upkeep, with CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• Two years of custodial or building maintenance experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision; detail-oriented and reliable.
• Must complete First Aid and CPR within 12 months of employment.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license with minimum liability limits ($100,000/$300,000).

Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance and repairs at all Head Start facilities.
• Carry out floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, and window maintenance.
• Clean vents and light fixtures; ensure general building cleanliness.

Skills And Qualifications

• Two years of experience working in custodial work and/or building maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-motivated, attentive to detail, organized, cooperative, productive, reliable, flexible and dependable.
• Must become First Aid and CPR qualified within twelve (12) months of employment.
• When driving for Brightpoint, the employee must have a valid Indiana driver's license and must maintain minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 on auto insurance.
