Job summary

Community Action Commission of Santa Barbara County is seeking a Classroom Food Assistant for the Meridian Head Start Center in Santa Maria, CA. The role supports meal service and classroom activities for preschool children.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with food handling is preferred.
• Experience with preschool children or related coursework in Early Childhood Education desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfasts, lunches, and snacks in a safe, sanitary manner.
• Assist teachers in activities and child care within Head Start centers.
• Complete required food service documentation and meal counts.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and assist with group activities and field trips.
