Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in an early childhood setting with infants and toddlers is preferred.
• Ability to adapt curriculum for diverse needs including at-risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a successful, safe, supervised educational environment for Head Start children.
• Promote social, emotional, physical and cognitive development; involve parents in the program.
• Develop individual goals for children and provide ongoing assessment of progress.
• Utilize CC Gold and PROMIS for documentation of baselines, progress, and parent contacts.
• Conduct parent/teacher conferences and home visits to discuss progress and strategies.
• Plan and implement integrated curriculum plans reflecting mandated elements and parental/cultural influences.
• Attend meetings, trainings and professional development activities.
