Job summary

South Middlesex Opportunity Council is seeking a Health Coordinator in Framingham, MA to provide and coordinate health services for Head Start and Child Care programs. The role requires licensed professionals, bilingual in Spanish/Portuguese, and experience in supervision.

The position entails maintaining health records, coordinating immunization surveys, staff CPR/First Aid training, and collaboration with families and health providers.

Qualifications

• Licensed health professional.
• Bilingual-Spanish and/or Portuguese required.
• Relevant experience and supervision experience preferred.
• Preference given to current and past Head Start parents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of SMOC Child Care and Head Start philosophy and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and committee meetings.
• Communicate with supervisor re: needs and concerns about children and families.
• Provide accurate reports, record keeping, and other required paperwork.
• Maintain good work habits, including attendance and punctuality.
• Run and review weekly and monthly ChildPlus reports; monitor compliance and performance indicators.
• Ensure all Medical and Medication Data is current in ChildPlus.
• Train staff in CPR and First Aid during the school year.
• Maintain current medical information for all staff (Physical and Mantoux).
• Identify health hazards in settings serving children and staff.
• Coordinate program-wide dental screenings and health advisory activities.
• Develop IHCP plans and train staff; manage IHCP guidance.
