Job summary

Texas ESC Region 16 Amarillo, Cleveland Street Campus seeks a Family Services Specialist to support access to resources for families and monitor Head Start services. The role focuses on maintaining family credentials, training staff, and coordinating services across sites in the region.

You will coach staff to empower families, analyze attendance and data, and facilitate parent engagement through leadership and training activities within the Head Start program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, or related field required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Experience in working with economically disadvantaged families preferred.
• Disciplined and objective with the ability to positively stimulate and develop teams toward a focused goal of providing quality service to children and families in the Head Start program.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Family Credential TOT and trains new FSA's in family credentials.
• Monitors parent meetings and CD implementation at assigned sites.
• Coaches staff to enable families to assess their needs, identify their strengths, and develop their goals.
• Coaches staff to enable families to define their family partnership agreement.
• Coaches staff to enable families to access resources to meet their needs.
