Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a Family Assistant to implement ERSEA, Health Program Services and Family and Community Engagement activities to promote overall family wellness and school readiness for children.

The role requires working knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, experience with CPSE/EI, and the ability to support Spanish- and Bengali-speaking families while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Experience with CPSE/EI services.
• Within 18 months of hire, obtain credential in social work, human services, family services, counseling or related field.
• Must be able to support families speaking Spanish or Bengali as needed.

Responsibilities

• Implement ERSEA and Health Program Services.
• Ensure program compliance with ERSEA Protocol and guidelines.
• Monitor data management and prepare monthly reports.
• Coordinate family engagement activities and goal setting.
• Clarify and communicate disability services to parents as needed.
• Maintain confidential family files in accordance with regulations.
• Support data collection for PIR and funding streams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
