The Child Center of NY is seeking a Family Service Coordinator/Manager to oversee ERSEA and Health practices, coordinate family services, promote family wellness, and build community partnerships. This role acts as a liaison among programs, classrooms, and home settings across family engagement, child development, and mental health services.

You will supervise family service staff, develop reporting systems, ensure compliance, and engage parents for active involvement while supporting crisis

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field; 5 years of experience in Human Services, Psychology or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and to multi-task.

Summary

The Family Service Coordinator/Manager is responsible for monitoring ERSEA (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, Attendance) and Health practices and coordinating family services including the promotion of family wellness, building community partnerships and operating as a liaison between programs, classrooms and home settings in the areas of family engagement, child development and mental health services.

Summary

The Family Service Coordinator/Manager is responsible for monitoring ERSEA (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, Attendance) and Health practices and coordinating family services including the promotion of family wellness, building community partnerships and operating as a liaison between programs, classrooms and home settings in the areas of family engagement, child development and mental health services.

Essential Functions:

• Perform the functions of this position with a strong understanding of the Head Start Program Performance Standards in addition to local, state and other federal guidelines.
• Supervise and provide support to family service staff.
• Develop systems of creating and submitting reports to management team that provide information related to ERSEA, family goal setting, services provided and any other information that may be requested.
• Monitor compliance using electronic data management systems.
• Establish and maintain communication with parents to insure opportunities for active program involvement and participation as well as crisis intervention.
• Participate in team management functions of planning, implementing, and evaluation of program.
• Assist in facilitating election process of the programs Governing body.
• Perform other duties, as may be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage staff the overall direction and coordination of family services provided by family service staff and carries out responsibilities in accordance with federal, state and local requirements as well as agency policies and applicable laws.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field plus 5 years' experience working in Human Services, Psychology or related field that includes course work in principles of social work, child development, counseling and/or psychology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and to multi-task.
• Willingness and skills to deal with sensitive family situations in a non-threatening and professional manner.
• Will support families that predominantly speak Spanish or Bengali andothers, may be required dependingon client needs.
