Job summary

Easterseals Southern California is seeking an Associate Teacher for the Early Head Start/Head Start program in Montclair, CA. Under limited supervision, you will plan, implement and evaluate a developmentally appropriate and inclusive curriculum for young children, while supporting family engagement.

This role requires a BA in ECE or related field and a valid Child Development Teacher Permit, with CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• BA in early childhood education or related field.
• Must hold and maintain a Child Development Teacher Permit.
• CPR and First Aid certification required; food handler’s certificate may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements and evaluates an inclusive curriculum for Head Start children.
• Acts as Site Supervisor as designated and supports primary caregiving needs.
• Maintains weekly lesson plans, progress notes, and required paperwork.
• Coordinates parent conferences and home visits within required timelines.
• Ensures child goals are created with parent input and progress is tracked.
