Job summary

Centro de la Familia is seeking an Educational Specialist to oversee Head Start education services at the center. You will ensure developmentally appropriate activities, mentor teachers, and align programs with Head Start standards and the School Readiness Plan.

Responsibilities include staff training, credentialing compliance, and coordinating child screenings and transitions, with a focus on family involvement and culturally relevant practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or related field.
• Emphasis or experience in special education, social work, or psychology.
• A plus if you have experience in management and/or group process experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the education services in the center in line with Head Start standards.
• Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and technical expertise to teachers and support staff.
• Ensure credentialing requirements are met and supervise staff development plans.
• Review lesson plans to ensure developmental appropriateness and family engagement.
