Job summary

Greater Lawrence Community Action Council (GLCAC) in Lawrence, MA is seeking an Education Supervisor to ensure school readiness for all children and to supervise, coordinate, and evaluate Educational Services as part of an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master’s preferred in Early Childhood Education, plus five years in supervisory/administrative ECE roles and Head Start experience. Flexible scheduling and compliance with licensing and accreditation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Master’s preferred.
• Minimum five years of supervisory/administrative experience in an ECE Center; Head Start experience preferred.
• Directorial certification and DEEC certification are valued.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate teaching team activities within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Head Start standards compliance and alignment with curricula.
• Promote career development, coaching, and advancement for teaching staff.
• Oversee classroom equipment, materials, and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Maintain and review various regulatory checklists and accreditation processes.
• Coordinate home visits, screenings, team meetings, and parent conferences.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive services for children and families.
• Support transitions for children and families entering or leaving the program.
