Job summary

MAAC (Metropolitan Area Advisory Committee) is seeking an Education Coach to coordinate and monitor Head Start standards. You will model and provide resources to staff, coach teachers, and coordinate on-site training on curricula and assessments, including Creative Curriculum and CLASS.

You will analyze education data, plan professional development, and prepare reports for Center Directors and MAAC leadership, ensuring compliance with CA/state regulations and Head Start requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with 32 ECE units.
• Three years of work/teaching experience in an ECE program; mentoring adult learners.
• Site Supervisor Level Permit or obtain within six months of hire.
• Acquire CLASS Certifications within nine months of hire.
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable; computer proficiency including MS Office and database software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, monitor, coach and train for Head Start Performance Standards.
• Mentor and coach classroom staff to improve child outcomes.
• Provide on-site training on curriculum and assessment (Creative Curriculum, CLASS, DRDP).
• Analyze education data to plan professional development for groups up to 50.
• Prepare reports and communicate findings with MAAC staff.
