Job summary

MAAC in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a Head Start Coach/Coordinator to implement Head Start Performance Standards across centers. You will mentor classroom staff, monitor ECD services, and provide training on curriculum and assessment tools such as Creative Curriculum and CLASS.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education with 32 ECE units, at least 3 years in an ECE setting, and the ability to communicate in English; Spanish bilingual skills are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with CA ECE units (32).
• Three years in an ECE program with regulatory experience and mentoring adults.
• Site Supervisor Permit or obtain within six months of hire.
• CLASS certifications required within nine months of hire.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor implementation of Head Start Performance Standards at centers.
• Mentor and coach staff to improve classroom interactions and child outcomes.
• Provide on-site training on curriculum and assessment tools (Creative Curriculum, CLASS, DRDP).
• Analyze education data to plan professional development for groups up to 50 participants.
• Prepare reports and communicate results to MAAC management.
