Job summary

Northside Center for Child Development in New York City seeks an EHS Lead Teacher to plan, implement and oversee classroom activities for Early Head Start children, including those with disabilities. You will engage with families to support children's development and work with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in ECE (Master’s preferred) and at least 1 year of lead teaching experience with young children; knowledge of ITERS and ELOF is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in ECE preferred or required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an Early Childhood setting as Lead Teacher.
• Experience working with families and children ages 0–5.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

• Fostering the belief in parents that they are their child’s first teacher and reinforcing this concept with practical suggestions for its development.

• Other related duties, as assigned, consistent with the above and including the fulfillment of the program.

COMPENSATION: $40,000 - $49,700
