Job summary

Easterseals Southern California seeks an experienced leader to plan, develop and administer early childhood education services within Head Start and Early Head Start across multiple locations. You will oversee program requirements, train staff, and ensure high quality outcomes for children and families.

The role requires a Bachelor's in ECE or related field (Master's preferred), a California Site Supervisor Permit or higher, and strong knowledge of Head Start standards. Travel locally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development or special education.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Possession of a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or higher in compliance with Title 5 or 24 units ECE/CD.
• Must obtain and maintain certification to all screenings and assessments used by ESSC Education dept within 18 months (ERS, CLASS, etc).
• Must complete California-mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training.
• Food Handler Certification (ANSI).
• Pesticide Safety Training prior to beginning work.

Responsibilities

• Participates in monthly meetings with all ECE managers to align regional performance, policies and goals.
• Conducts regular visits of Head Start and Early Head Start environments to observe activities, provide consultation, determine training needs and review curriculum implementation.
• Designs, develops, and delivers training programs and workshops for educators and staff; provide supervision to Mentor (Teacher Coaches).
• Leads the process for School Readiness Outcomes, CLASS, Curriculum to Fidelity, Coaching, ERS, DRDP and other screenings/assessments for Child Development Programs.
• Collaborates monthly with content managers, ESSC staff, partners and providers to provide individualized support to children and staff.
• Ensures program environments are high quality, safe and engaging indoors/outdoors.
• Participates in committees and advisory boards; contributes to policy and program initiatives.
