Job summary

Oregon Coast Community Action in Charleston, OR seeks a dedicated Teacher Assistant to support infant, toddler, and preschool services under the Head Start program. You will assist with daily classroom operations, maintain safety standards, and help implement the Creative Curriculum to deliver developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

You will collaborate with the Teacher/Advocate, support family engagement, monitor attendance, and help prepare materials while upholding high-quality care

Qualifications

• AA in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field or higher.
• Oregon Registry Step 9 or higher.
• Infant/Toddler CDA credential.
• Oregon Registry Step 7 or higher.
• Enrolled in Infant/Toddler CDA credential or equivalent program.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher in delivering high-quality infant, toddler, and preschool services.
• Maintain classroom safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Assist in implementing The Creative Curriculum with fidelity.
• Support family-style meals and food safety adherence.
• Track attendance and assist with screenings/assessments.
