Tri-Valley's Head Start seeks a Director to coordinate and lead Head Start services, ensuring effective implementation and evaluation for children and families served. You will lead program design, budgeting, and staff development within a collaborative community.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement to deliver quality services and responsible program funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education, Public Administration, Health Administration or closely related human service field.
• Three years of increasing levels of responsibilities in the areas of program design and development, fiscal management and administration.
• Three years of experience supervising others.
• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
• Comfortable working with computers, willing and able to learn program-specific systems as needed for the position.
• Experience in strategic planning that involved different stakeholder groups.
• One year experience in researching funding sources.
• Two years of experience preparing proposals and understanding of contractual language.
• Two years of experience creating and managing budgets.
• One year experience in marketing, public relations, public speaking or training in a group setting.
• Proof of valid driver's license and current/adequate vehicle insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, assure effective implementation and evaluation of Head Start services.
• Market, promote and represent programs within the Head Start community.
• Ensure transparent communication and collaboration for sound business decisions.
• Recruit potential parents by informing about services and benefits offered to enrolled children and families.
• Provide programmatic oversight and leadership, including creating vision and strategic plans, developing problem-solving strategies, and managing budget systems.
• Ensure quality services are provided by staff, monitor performance, and conduct training.
