Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education is required.
• Master’s degree or Director's Credential preferred.
• Proven experience in early childhood education program management, preferably Head Start.
• Ability to lead staff and manage budgets and grants.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Must be bilingual and able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Head Start center, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and goals aligned with Head Start standards
• Lead, supervise, and support staff, including teachers, administrative personnel, and support staff
• Foster strong relationships with families, community partners, and stakeholders to promote family engagement and community involvement
• Manage program budgets, grants, and resources efficiently to meet program objectives
• Monitor and evaluate program performance, ensuring continuous improvement and quality assurance
• Ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children and staff
• Facilitate staff training, professional development, and team-building activities
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for oversight agencies and funding bodies
