The Nooksack Indian Tribe seeks an Early Childhood Assistant to support planning and implementing individualized educational plans for children in the Head Start program.

You will perform screenings with Teaching Strategies GOLD, interact with families daily, conduct home visits, and supervise staff and volunteers while maintaining a safe, engaging classroom environment in line with Creative Curriculum and Head Start standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum 1 year experience in a preschool classroom
• Associate’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education (required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education (preferred)

Responsabilités

• Oversee and direct planning, organizing and implementing individual educational plans for children
• Perform screenings and assessments using Teaching Strategies GOLD on required timeline
• Interact with families daily and conduct home visits
• Supervise classroom staff and volunteers
• Ensure a safe, engaging learning environment and implement Creative Curriculum
