Puget Sound Educational Service District seeks a Head Start Assistant Teacher (SCHOOL SCHEDULE POSITION) to join our team of educators and work in partnership with the Teacher and Lead Teacher. The role emphasizes collaboration with families, documenting children’s outcomes, and delivering high-quality early childhood education.

Educare practices and a commitment to equity guide our work; this position follows the school-year calendar and reports to the Lead Teacher.

Formación

• WA state ECE Initial Cert or short Cert. of specialization OR Current CDA (Any focus)
• Minimum years of relevant experience 0-1 year
• Early childhood experience in a childcare center, child development center, or preschool program

Responsabilidades

• Assist Lead Teacher in designing and leading children’s learning and documenting outcomes
• Collaborate with families to support growth and development
• Maintain student records, attendance, and observations in accordance with program requirements
• Assist with health screenings and daily routines to ensure safety and hygiene
• Support inclusive classroom environments and active supervision of children
