East Missouri Action Agency, Inc. is hiring a Cook for Head Start. The role ensures compliance with USDA and Head Start nutrition guidelines and maintains a clean, safe center environment for children.

Responsibilities include planning shopping lists, grocery shopping, serving meals at safe temperatures, and performing required paperwork and trainings. The position works 35 hours per week with a starting pay of $15.68 per hour and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience in food preparation and nutrition.
• Able to stand, walk and stoop for extended periods; lift 35 pounds.
• Must pass annual physical and TB test and have Hepatitis A shot.
• Good attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shopping lists and grocery shopping.
• Serve food at safe temperatures and set tables.
• Operate kitchen equipment and clean kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms.
• Complete required paperwork and training; comply with health and safety standards.
