Job summary

VOALA in the Los Angeles area seeks a Co-Teacher for Head Start/Early Head Start to support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through structured activities and a rich learning environment.

You will plan and implement curriculum for morning and afternoon sessions, collaborate with a Family Advocate, and help integrate health, nutrition, and parent involvement services. Strong English/Spanish skills and a TB clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Must pass fingerprint clearance and background checks
• TB clearance within 6 months and annual influenza vaccination
• Pertussis and measles immunization
• Health screening at employment

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the program curriculum for morning and afternoon classes
• Integrate HS services (parent involvement, social services, nutrition, health)
• Observe and assess children's development and set goals
• Maintain accurate monthly paperwork and records
• Provide a learning environment reflecting diverse backgrounds and cultures

Skills

Education

High School Diploma/GED
