Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass fingerprint clearance and background check.
• TB clearance within 6 months and up-to-date immunizations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move quickly in a busy environment.
• High School Diploma or GED with 24 CD units in ECE/CD; AS/AA preferred for EHS.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a developmentally appropriate environment with diverse activities to support children’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth.
• Implement the Head Start/EHS curriculum for morning and afternoon classes.
• Plan and lead individual and group activities; involve families through the FA and Co-Teacher collaboration.
• Integrate Head Start services into learning, including health, nutrition and mental health components.
• Maintain child records and submit monthly paperwork; monitor development and set goals for each child.
• Ensure safety and licensing standards are met and align with program mission.
