Job summary

Making Opportunity Count, Inc. seeks an early childhood educator to plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs for children, fostering growth, self-esteem and social competence. Set individual goals, assess progress, and support transitions to pre-school and kindergarten.

The role requires knowledge of Head Start standards and independent classroom management, with ongoing documentation and family engagement. On-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate degree with progress toward bachelor’s in ECE or related field.
• Lead Teacher certificate required.
• Bi-lingual staff must be able to speak, read and write in two languages.

Responsibilities

• Implement Head Start philosophy and objectives per standards and policies.
• Maintain on-site EEC personnel file and document training in PQ registry.
• Post required documents in classrooms per Head Start standards and policies.
• Review parent permissions and emergency release procedures.

Education

Associate’s degree working towards bachelor's degree in ECE or related field
