Innovative Network of Knowledge (INK) is seeking a Part-time role to support Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms. The incumbent will assist with daily programs, safety, and educational activities, ensuring all children receive individual attention.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively with children and families with limited English.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in education and daily program of a Head Start or Early Head Start classroom.
• Assist with implementation and coordination of Head Start functions.
• Identify and report (and provide support for) child abuse/neglect cases.
• Provide educational experiences to foster self-image, language and multicultural awareness.
• Ensure all children receive individual attention and safety in all areas.
• Be in classroom before children arrive and supervise activities.
• Utilize volunteer help effectively and assist with assessments and screenings.
• Support home-style meal service and assist with field trips and other school functions.
