Job summary

United Community Action Partnership, Inc. is seeking a Head Start Classroom Support in Redwood Falls, MN. You will work closely with the Head Start Teacher to foster curiosity, independence, and active family engagement.

The role requires 18+, a HS diploma/GED (or equivalent), and CPR/First Aid with food safety certification or plans to obtain them within 3 months. Salary is hourly with benefits and a 30-hour workweek for 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in kitchen tasks and keep areas organized.

• Bring energy to health and nutrition activities for kids.
• Provide backup support for Head Start Teacher.
• Assist with light janitorial duties as needed.
• Support recruitment and enrollment efforts.
• Maintain a safe environment at all times.

JOB STATUS:

As a Head Start Classroom Support, you’ll work side by side with our Head Start Teacher to spark curiosity, build independence, and inspire little learners—all while supporting parents to become their child’s greatest advocate.

• Team Up in the Kitchen: Help with food prep and cleanup - keeping things organized andtidy.
• Stay Organized: Keep everything running smoothly with accurate and up-to-date recordkeeping.
• Add a Healthy Twist: Bring energy and creativity to health and nutrition activities that inspire kids to make healthier choices.
• Be the MVP: Step in for the Head Start Teacher when needed - you're the ultimate backup!
• Pitch In: Help out with light janitorial duties when necessary - teamwork makes the dream work.
• Promote the Program: Support recruitment and enrollment efforts to spread the word about Head Start.
• Prioritize Safety: Ensure a safe environment for everyone, every step of the way.
