Job summary

Gateway Community Action Agency in Brooksville, KY is seeking a part-time Early Childhood Assistant to support teachers, implement curricula, and help create a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree required.
• Child Development Associate preferred.
• Valid Kentucky driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff with curriculum implementation in the classroom.
• Apply developmentally appropriate practices.
• Assist with daily activities.
• Assist in maintaining a system for assessing and tracking child progress.
• Cooperate with parents to build and support home school connections.
• Maintain relationships with community partners to support program needs.
• Keep a safe and healthy classroom environment at all times.
• Assist with IFSP/IEP implementation.
• Comply with Head Start standards and laws.
• Participate in meetings, events, and training as required.
• Work collaboratively with center staff.
• Ensure at least 15 clock hours of professional development annually.
