Job summary

Family Development Services in Indiana seeks a Program Aide to support a Head Start classroom for ages 3–4. The role is as-needed and involves collaborating with another teacher to maintain a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment across multiple locations.

You will assist with lesson implementation, supervision, and family engagement, while upholding health, safety, and licensing requirements. Travel within the county may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with ECE credits.
• 3-5 years’ experience supervising preschool/infant-toddler centers.
• Background checks and physical exam required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and instructional support, maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Assist in implementing curriculum and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Maintain health, safety, and hygiene practices in the classroom.
• Support family engagement, including home visits and conferences as scheduled.
• Supervise children and coordinate meals and classroom routines.
