Job summary

ADP, Inc. is hiring a Head Start Teacher Assistant in Springfield, TN. This full-time role supports the Teacher in day-to-day classroom operations and may assume teacher duties in their absence.

Responsibilities include lesson planning assistance, child assessments for individualized plans, home visits, and active parent liaison. Benefits are included as part of a comprehensive program for early childhood education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDA credential or associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience with preschool-aged children (0–5) is desirable.
• Ability to communicate with parents and collaborate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning daily lessons and activities.
• Support assessment of each child’s developmental level for individualized planning.
• Conduct home visits and communicate with parents to address needs.
• Keep parents informed through conferences, letters, and calls.
• Assist in preparing and serving meals and cleaning duties.
• Attend trainings and participate in meetings as needed.
