Job summary

Tri County Community Action Partnership seeks energetic individuals to support a high-quality preschool program under Head Start guidelines. You will assist the classroom teaching team with implementing activities that foster language literacy, science, life skills, and social-emotional development, and build positive relationships with children and families.

Under the Lead Teacher, you will help ensure safety, engage with children, and participate in trainings tied to preschool development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with young children is required.

In support of the Agency's mission, and under the direction of the Lead Teacher, the Classroom Aide is responsible for assisting the classroom teaching team with the implementation of a high-quality preschool program for children that is consistent with Head Start policies and performance standards. The Classroom Aide works with children and parents in a sensitive manner which respects individual differences, cultural backgrounds, and current circumstances. Ensures the safety of children at all times.
