• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience working with children is a plus.
• EEC Teacher Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable about SMOC Head Start philosophy and regulations applicable to the classroom.
• Support the classroom team in creating a learning environment that supports development.
• Participate in staff growth and development opportunities.
• Communicate regularly with the Lead Teacher or Supervisor and share pertinent information quickly.
• Maintain attendance records and required documentation.
• Assist with lesson plans and curriculum implementation daily.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed.
• Engage with families and support positive relationships.
