Job summary

South-Middlesex-Opportunity-Council is seeking a part-time Teacher's Aide for Head Start in Medway, MA. The role supports developmentally appropriate learning experiences and maintains a safe, healthy classroom while engaging families and the community.

Position offers 25–35 hours per week on a school calendar, with benefits and coverage through SMOC. The successful candidate must be at least 18, with a strong commitment to children's readiness and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Experience with children a plus.
• EEC Teacher Certification Preferred.
• Multilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
• Priority given to Head Start parents for positions in Head Start.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable about SMOC Head Start regulations and standards.
• Support classroom team in creating a safe, engaging learning environment.
• Maintain attendance, records, and communications with families.
• Assist in implementing lesson plans and curriculum daily.
• Collaborate with Lead Teacher and Supervisor and participate in staff meetings.
